Kent and I took a road trip to Montreal last week and visited this Biosphère museum, which was based upon the visionary work of Buckminster Fuller. Fuller was famous for his geodesic domes and ideas for sustainable development.

This was a wonderful piece. I love the two quotes from Buckminster Fuller. I hope people can watch this video and rethink what we are doing with our world.

The visionary place can be achingly lonely. Faith gets you through. Thanks for this and for everything.

Thanks for doing this. It makes me wonder who will be the one to opt for trash instead of reusing/recycling. We are a finite number of trash barrels away from completely crapping up this planet.

November 2005. It’s now mid september 2006. I can’t believe I just discovered your vlog.
How does that happen.
I just stumbled on one video… a tiny little cornet of it. To use Jen’s term it just resonated… and now I’ve watched probably 6 videos in a row. Each one better than the next.
I find it particularly interesting and satisfying to read the comments of so many other friends whom I know and know well.. not only is it a beautiful thing to follow in their footsteps here… to know I’ve discovered a new and previously hidden path (to me anyway)… but to know that unlike a bookmarked page… it’s definitely not one i’ll loose. Vlogging is powerful stuff… subscriber channels… personal… connected.
And as for buckminster fuller… he’s definitely one of those strange and brilliant people.
On that note say what you will about steve irwin… love him or hate him… but the world is definitely, much like bucky… not anywhere near as interesting without him.

Went back and watched this tonight after talking to Jen about related things on the phone. When I get to the place where I don’t care if people understand what I’m saying, I’ll let you know. And if you know how you got there, I’m up for advice. This is beautiful and playful. Good work, as always.
